Its been a long long time since I last updated my blog.....very sorry to those who have been visiting my blog, I'll try to update as often as I can...finally started work in March.....really have lots to learn....but guess what I really need to learn is to manage my time properly......I should aim to leave the office by 630 everyday.....if not I wont get enough rest....

Just want to upload some rare pictures....I didn't choose them randomly....2 of them were taken during Yong Yang and Marcus's birthday....it's rare cos that's the first
time the whole 小组 go out together....even though I don't belong to that group anymore, felt really happy when they invited me to the dinner.

This photo was taken at my graduation.....its really rare cos I don't think I have ever taken photographs with my brother alone.....its always taken with other people...hope he doesn't mind me posting on my blog..haha....think that's about it..I'll try to upload more photos next time......

didn't realise its been more than a month since I last updated my blog....well..as usual, don't know what to write...currently I'm working at a "mad house".....teaching part time at church's family centre....the kids there are super NAUGHTY & NOISY!!!!!wonder how their parents teach them.....maybe its also cause the parents can't handle them that's why send them to student care bah.....anyway....I'm down with flu again.......think its caused by dust....was cleaning my store room yesterday & I was sneezing throughout that few hours......I told my mum that I can't do cleaning and she said I 富贵命.......haha......oh well....hope my flu will go away soon.....don't want to be sick during CNY

think i've really broken my record....if i remember correctly, i used to see a doc once a month (or maybe 2 months)...think 1 of e reasons y my mum decided to bring me to sg is cos of my health.....well...for e first few years my condition did not improve....i still see the doc quite often....things got better when i went to sec sch....prob cos i took up netball.....from 2004-2007, my condition was actually very good.....seldom have sinus problems....and i only see a doc once in a blue moon....ever since i return to sg...i've been having sinus problems again....n i took 4 days mc out of the 3 months contract with sgh....

oh well, i didn't expect my condition was so bad this time round....at first i thought its just normal flu and sore throat....went to see a doc on 6th dec, then i lost my voice....it never came back till 22nd dec....so i really thank God that i managed to sing on 23rd dec n Christmas...fearing that my condition will worsen during the camp week, i went to see the doc on 16th dec....this time round i was given antibiotics...i finished all the medicine, my voice came back....but somehow i'm still having flu....then started getting a bit of sore throat yesterday.....so i had no choice but to see the doc again today.....3 times in dec....the doc also got a shock.....n she took my blood pressure, but said nothing, so i think its still within the healthy range...hopefully i'll recover fully this time round....if not think she might ask me to take blood test...haha....think my medical bill for this month is about $120......haiz.....but don't think i'll see the doc again this year...better not....haha....

my mum's currently in GC, visiting my brother, at the same time attending his convocation.....haomin's still in france....so i'll be alone at home for the whole week....furthermore, my eldest aunt's in china with my uncle for tour....so cant go to her place for dinner...so sad......good thing Pat ask me out for dinner on wed...haha...

been sick since last wed....was down with sore throat and flu...lost my voice since thurs.....good think its coming back....i would say half my voice came back...so hopefully i'll recover by fri....

last fri was my last day of work at SGH, i think its time for me to get serious n look for a permanent job.....don't think i'll be able to go back to UQ next yr for honours....

can't really think of stuffs to update.....so will stop here for now....maybe next time i'll upload more photos to make my blog more interesting....

for some reason i've been sneezing for the past 2 days.....at first i thought its sinus...cos its kind of hazy....but usually my sinus will stop after 1 day.....somehow it din stop....was feeling super unwell during sunday worship that i had to ask auntie peck lian to take over me as pianist....think i was having a slight fever also.....

although its not that serious now....still felt its a bit inappropriate to go to work...don't wanna be sent home by my supervisor....also don't want to get complaints from patients that i spread my flu virus to them.....so decided to take MC....haha

hate the idea of seeing a doc when all the flu/fever/sore throat symptoms are not showing.....but still...i need to see a doc to get mc....oh well....hopefully it wont get worse lah......

i've been waiting for my sg license to arrive for more than 1 wk....didn't expect it to arrive today.....maybe its a good timing fall sick over the wkend....at least i received my license...don't have to go to post office to collect.....

yes, i know its been a while since i last updated my blog....sorry to those who have been constantly visiting my blog....will be spending sometime updating my blog today lah...be prepared for a super long post!!!!

just a few updates....thank God for providing me the temp job....initially i thought i'll be the only one at the interview. was surprised to see 3 other candidates waiting outside the office...in the end, another girl & i got the job....had been work for 1 1/2 week.....basically i handle patient registration, answer phone calls and listen to patients' complaints...sounds pretty simple...but tough especially if u're faced with difficult patients....everyday's filled with surprises....once i was asked to act as translator for the doctor...i was also asked to promote the new service to patients...so within this short period of time, i transformed from a clerk to translator to "sales promoter"....haha...

recently i've been receiving messages on faith and God's timing...sometimes u really need the faith to wait upon God's timing for everything. i've sent out a few resumes in august but only received notices from the temporary positions....that's 1 of the reasons why i took up the SGH job....on thursday i finally received a call from Suntec (i sent out my resume to them abt 1 month ago) asking me to go down for an interview. i would say its a perfect timing for me....cos firstly, i feel its kind of inappropriate for me to take time off to go for job interviews...however, as i've take half day leave for my basic theory test on thurs, so i ask Suntec to arrange the interview on that day...just right....also, i've received an award from UQ, so this will boost my resume...thirdly, since the post i applied for is Assistant Manager/Executive - Client Services, my current job would at least give me some advantages...Pray that the interview will go on smoothly....

while the title indicates free time....i actually have quite a few things to do....i've just finished updating my resume....now updating my blog...will be spending the rest of the day practising my choir part, preparing for my basic theory and reading up on the Maccabean Revolt....

just some thoughts.....:
(1) since the JSM choir has attempted few items from the Messiah, maybe we should all get a copy of Handel's Messiah Choral Score...haha

(2) somehow i realise i've been getting new bruises each day....don't even know how i got them....maybe i should wear a protective suit everyday siah...haha...

18.06.2007 - met up with Ying in city for lunch.....did a bit of shopping then we went to Chinatown to buy stuffs.....at night met up with fellow Unilinkers for dinner at 小台北 for steak

19.06.2007 - went to Gold Coast for haircut....was late due to traffic jam....but the 4 of us still manage to get our haircuts.....wanted to eat at Yamasakura but they close on mondays & tuesdays....so we ate ramen instead.....went to pick up my bro on the way back n we went Manors for supper cos my bro hasn't had dinner

21.06.2007 - saw my housemate & neighbours going out early in the morning....felt kinda sad that they did not invite me along....they came back at about 5pm and started preparing for steamboat dinner....i offered to help but they chase me out of the kitchen...till then i still didn't suspect anything....dinner went of well....it's a really nice weather for steamboat......my phone rang while i was washing the dishes...due to poor reception in the unit, i went out to answer the call...when i'm done, realised they locked my out of the unit....when they finally let me it, the house was pitch dark....was being led to the kitchen n asked to close my eyes...finally they led me to the living room n there i saw a CAKE!!!!then i realised why they didn't invite me out to city and why they refuse to let me help out with dinner preparation.....they actually planned a surprise birthday celebration for me!!!!!i was super touched....they also made a nice scrap book for me.....filed with pictures (taken during the semester) and words!!!!everything's handmade.....felt really touched!!!!

22.06.2007 - 24.06.2007: the bunch of us set off for Sunshine Coast.....visited the various factories...we also went to the Eumandi Market and strawberry picking....we had so much fun at the strawberry farm.....the strawberries are super sweet & cheap as well.....cos we have 9 people, so we need to pick at least 2kg, which costs us $20...a pretty decent price considered we pick and eat at the same time...haha...on our way back, we had dinner at Hanaichi, together with Thomas' friends.....

26.06.2007 - 28.06.2007: went down to Gold Coast again...this time we had activities well planned...supposed to go to Movie World on the first day, but it was raining heavily so we decided to go to Harbour Town for shopping....i bought the Ripcurl Jacket that i saw at DFO...cos it's one size bigger, i don't really look as kiddy as before...i only joined the crowd for Dreamworld and brief shopping at Pacific Fair....didn't join the rest of the activities due to financial constraints....i'm left with $400 to last till 19.07.2007.....must really try to watch my spending...haha

02.07.2007 - celebrated Jaslyn's birthday.....foongyee and i actually talked about how we gonna celebrate her birthday...we plan to prepare a home cook meal for her with all her favourite dishes since we've been eating out quite often...however, she didn't update me the details....at about 830pm, Weng came over to ask us go over to Yee's unit for dinner but Jaslyn's still in the shower...after showering, she went straight into her room and went to sleep...took us quite a while to wake her up....Yee, together with her friends, prepared various delicious dishes for Jaslyn....and they also got her caramel for dessert and a cheese cake for her birthday!!!if Yee ask me to go over to help, Jaslyn would have known about the dinner....it's another successful birthday dinner surprise

03.07.2007 - headed down to Sydney.....really thankful to Weng who helped me carry my luggage from home to the train station......the flight journey was rocky but thank God i managed to arrive safely.....Belinda (cousin) picked my up at the airport....met Isabella when we reach home...she's super adorable & sweet!!!!!had to converse with her in English cos i can't speak Cantonese.....

04.07.2007 - decided to stay at home today and rest.....results was out this morning...really had to thank God for the good results He has given me...really unexpected.....especially i feel i've screw up my exams....think i'll meet up with Jess tomorrow..looking forward for Dr Spence's conference starting this Sunday....

exam's finally over......can't believe it just come and go so quickly.......almost freaked out with my 1st paper.......didn't have time to finish all the questions......although my lecturer told us its 10 short answer questions.....but the amount of stuffs we're required to write......its like 10 mini essays.....hopefully i'll do ok for this paper.....stats paper was ok......once again....i don't have time to finish the whole paper.....guessed about 3 MCQ......getting a B shouldn't be a problem.....but i hope i can get A so that i can pull up my final GPA......oh well....its all over.....can finally relax now!!!!!!

went to DFO for shopping today......they have massive sale and everyone bought stuffs.....i bought a pair of oakley shorts.....it looks pretty cute.....n the size seems just right.....its always not easy for me to get clothes.....so am quite happy with the purchase.....i almost bought a Ripcurl jacket......its kids size.....and its super comfortable......almost wanted to buy it.....but feel that i don't really look nice in that jacket......it has a nice shade of baby pink.....looks really sweet....but i'll look even more like a kid if i do wear it...oh well...i might be able to find nicer jackets elsewhere.....

will be going to Brisbane city tomorrow to meet my friend.....it'll be another round of shopping....haha....after that will be having dinner at sunnybank......will also be going down to Gold Coast on tuesday.....have haircut appointment at 2pm.....after that will be shopping again.....have lots of programme line up for this week......just hope i won't over spend....haha

EXAMS' COMING!!!!!!

managed to finish my final assignment on time on monday....realised i printed the wrong cover sheet when i was helping my friend to print out his......i almost freak out!!!!!!!checked my email n realised i've submitted a TOUR2002 assignment....however, the course code on my cover sheet was TOUR2003.......emailed my lecturer immediately to ask if i could retrieve my assignment and resubmit (just in case the assignment got lost in transition).....good thing when i arrived at student centre again, the assignments have not been picked up.....managed to retrieve my assignment and resubmit with a new cover sheet attached on it.....when i check my email again, got a reply from lecturer....he actually suggested me to submit my assignment by email....so nice of him.....however i told him i've managed to resubmit my assignment.........

been doing stats past exam papers and studying for my professional development exam for the past 2 days....this is the first time i ever started studying so early and it's also the first time that i realise i don't have much time to finish studying these 2 subjects even though my exams are 10 days away......hopefully i can managed just right......has been raining since last night and practically the whole of today...finally SEQ's getting some rain........hope this will help reduce the drought issue.......guess i shall stop here...need to get back to study soon.......

my classes for this sem has ended on wednesday......can't believe this sem passed so quickly......i really don't want it to end so soon.....cos this means my exams are approaching.....n in less than 2 months time i'll graduate from uni......how i wish i can be a student for life.......

realised i had not been doing any work for the past week......i'm supposed to do my final assignment, however....as usual...i don't have the motivation to do so......went to work on thursday........n was out shopping yesterday......think i really have to get started with my assignment....

chatted with Jessica on the phone yesterday to confirm about the Spence's meeting.....it'll be held from 8th to 15 july......any JSMers interested to come down to Sydney with me during this period????haha....guess i need to get back to my assignment....will update again soon........

Week 11........

realised i really ran out of ideas for my blog titles.......for those who don't know what week 11 means, it simply means 11 weeks have past since the start of this semester....just 2 more weeks to go before we enter into the study break....then exams......managed to submit my 2nd assignment on monday.....had been slacking for the past few days....just can't seem to find motivation to do work.....

went for placement on thursday (after 2 weeks break).......finally hit the 60 hour limit....at least now I don't have to worry about not being able to complete the minimum number of hours of placement......

after waiting for 2 weeks, my book finally arrived.....i ordered this novel online and had it delivered to my dad's place in taiwan.....he then sent it over to me.....the company does offer shipping service to overseas customers but i decided to let my dad send the book to me cos its too expensive to get the company to do it (NT$400 as opposed to NT$174)....maybe because we had 2 public holidays last week, so it took a much longer time for the book to arrive....oh well, at least it arrived....

my mid sem exam result and final exam time table is finally out......from the break down of marks, i think i screwed up the theory section......but overall it's still a good grade, really had to thank God for that......my exam starts on 15 and ends on 16 june.......not something i have expected......but at least i end early......so hopefully i'll have enough time to study......

Labour Day

today's labour day!!!!!please don't ask me why Australia's Labour Day is different from other countries as I'm not sure about the answer too. Had my mid-sem exam on Saturday. It was not too bad, some questions were actually repeated from past year papers. As usual, I have no high hopes for the theory questions.....so hopefully I wont screw up the paper....finally changed into my new quilt cover.....felt in love with it when i went shopping last tuesday.......and it was on major discount....originally it costs $49.99 but was reduced to $24.99. Realised there was further discount and finally got it at $17.40.

did not go down for placement last thursday.....they let me stay at home because i had my exam on saturday....very nice of them....spent my weekend on grocery shopping, CML quiz and stats tutorial.....that was kinda my weekly routine.....right now starting on my placement assignment....its about Industry of Interest Research......i'm suppose to state my industry of interest, research on it, identify the key issues that're likely to affect the industry over the upcoming years. i also need to highlight my perceived career path and write on my placement experience.....don't really sound too difficult....guess the tough part is the career path.....it has to be realistic......kinda hard for me as I don't have much working experience.....

sometimes i find that blogging can be a hassle......especially for someone like me who isn't good at expressing myself in words....however, as I was writing on my placement experience, I was glad I recorded some of my thoughts in my blog.....as least I don't have to think so hard to try and recall all the events that has happened....but please do not expect me to update my blog everyday......it'll be a torture to me......gotta go write my assignment....will try to update soon....

realised i've been using the same title over & over again......just cant seem to think of other titles to use....maybe i'm just lazy......anyway,i've been working really long hours last week.......i predicted i'd work about 15 hours the week before......and it turned out i worked for 30 hours....twice of what i've anticipated......its really tiring.....especially when i had to work till 130am on friday & still go back to work by 9am on saturday morning.....the GM is constantly asking me if this is really the type of job i want.......haha....seriously i don't know.....to date, i've complete 55 hours for my placement......at least i'm able to complete the required number of hours so its not too bad....

time flies really quickly.......its already may & i've yet to make a decision.....a part of me want to stay on for honours while the other part of me wants to go back.....there's lots of constraints.....& i just can't seem to make up my mind.....

will be having my midsem exam this saturday.......i'm not particularly scared that i can't pass......but more of afraid i can't get good grades as there's too many theories involved.......i'm really hoping to do well since it's just a level 1 subject......this semester's almost ending and i have 3 more assignments coming up....don't really want my university life to end so soon.......oh well......guess i just have to face the reality......

finally i've finished 1 assignment....it took me so long to find a suitable article.....the criteria given to us was:

1. it must be a refereed academic journal article
2. it must be related to transport and tourism

finding a refereed article is easy, finding a refereed journal that's related to transport and tourism is extremely difficult!!!!i've found a few good ones......but they're all under the recommended reading list...so we cant use them.....then i found some that're not too bad......but they only talk about transport......it took me 4 days to find something that usable and interesting to read.......for this piece of assessment, we're told to review it.....none of us has actually done a journal review before.....so not sure if all of us are on the right track.....oh well....its submitted....don't want to care anymore.....

i still have CML 3 that's due on monday at 10pm......gonna finish the questions by tonight and discuss with my friend......need to finish my statistics tutorial as well....good thing i only have class on monday next week....but Ipswich Festival's starting next friday......think i'll be super busy during weekends as i need to help Events Corp as much as i can.....thursday was an eye opener for me......i left the company at 515pm....but the staff are still there working hard.......i always have the impression that they'll end at 5pm......maybe cos the event's coming up real soon that's why they're still in the office????to date, i've completed 25hrs of work placement......maybe by next week i'll be able to complete another 15hrs????

i know its been a while since i updated my blog......once again jon has "requested" me to update my blog......sometimes i really find it a chore to update......but for the benefits of my friends....guess i should update as frequently as possible......

today's the last day of my mid sem break......i spent the first 3 days in goldcoast.....my initial intention was to stay there on monday, stay at my friend's place on tuesday and go to class together on wednesday.....however, my friend decided to go to sunshine coast on tuesday, so i had to change my plans...i decided to stay 1 more day in goldcoast.....because my class starts at 10am, i had to leave my brother's place at 720am........took me about 2 hours to get to St Lucia...i'll never do such crazy stuff again.....

thursday i went for my placement.......was there since 9am and ended at about 445pm......similar to the previous thursday, i basically help the staffs with tiny stuffs such as sending out mails, checking posters for errors, print and laminate them. i also help them to design some signage....if you really want to know what i've learnt so far.....i would say i learn to operate the franking and laminating machine, learn to use microsoft publisher.......for those who don't know what placement is, it basically means attachment/internship.......so far i've worked for 17hrs......need to be there for at least 43 more hours before i can complete my placement......hopefully i can finish on time......

uni's starting tomorrow.....and i have assignment due on friday but i've not started doing....guess i should just stop blogging and start doing my assignment........i'll try my best to update as frequently as possible.....

CML Quiz 2

think people may find this weird......how come i published 2 posts today......well...not that i'm extremely free (or maybe i really am).....probably i just want to stop thinking about my stats quiz for a moment.......i remembered how frustrated i was last week about the perdisco quiz.....the website had been down for so long....and there're so many restrictions......many people had been complaining......the situation was so bad that my lecturer had finally decided to make it optional (kinda ambiguous...but at least its not compulsory for us to do the perdisco quizzes now)........something to cheer about.......and now we can stay focus on the CML quizzs.......

was doing my 2nd quiz in the library today with a few other friends.......we were told before hand that this would be the toughest quiz of all.....and we gonna spent the most time on it.....true enough......i spent a long time doing it.....had been doing it since 130pm....we stopped at about 5pm when the library closes.....went out for a bite and continue form 6pm to 720pm.......but its still incomplete.......i still have about 2 more questions....and mind you,the whole quiz only have 13 questions......can't believe i actually spent so much time doing 1 quiz.....i had to spend alot of time reading the question,digesting the information and pick out the right formula for the right question.....

haiz......felt that i could never conquer probability.....it has always been a topic that i feared since sec sch days......and this quiz is mainly about probability......hopefully i'll do ok for this quiz.......

Slacking?????u sure???

how come no one's believing me when i said i'm slacking this semester?????i haven't even started writing my assignments...not even started with research......every week just come and pass by quickly.....the only stuffs i did was stats tutorial and online quizzes.....oh well....hopefully i won't slack too much and stuff up my final semester......

just started with my placement on wednesday...went down to help them set up for the event,got free lunch on wednesday and thursday......actual work will start this week.....i'm told to go down on every thursdays and maybe more frequently when they needed help with the events.....hopefully i'll be able to management my time properly.....

midsem break's coming...my friends are planning to go down to goldcoast for 2 days, visit one of the worlds, shop and eat......kinda inconvenient when we dont have cars....have to take public transport down (about 4hrs journey)....since our mid sem break lies on the Easter week, makes it more inconvenient for us since buses don't run on public holidays and shops r closed as well.....oh well.....hopefully we'll manage to get out of ippy during the break....

in case everyone's wondering what i've been up to for the past week.....i shall update my blog.....my lappy has been giving me some problems after i've reformatted it last week......out of desperation, i reformatted it again yesterday....good thing that this time round i only need to reformat my C drive.....hopefully it'll be fine now!!!!

last week i've been trying to schedule an interview appointment with the GM of Events Corp Ipswich.....managed to meet him on thursday and everything went on smoothly.....i'll start my placement next wednesday......

one of the conditions for this placement is to get a pair of safety boots....people must be wondering how come an events + tourism major student needs a pair of safety boots for her placement?????oh well.....cos i'll not be at the office all the time....haha....think we'll be at the event site to set up for the events......so its essential to get a pair of the boots.....oh well....hopefully my placement will go on smoothly.....

feel that i've been slacking everyday........i've no motivation to do my assignments.....having some problems to do the online quizzes......feel that its a really dumb idea to ask us to do online quizzes on an external site......we'll need to pay to get unlimited access....if not,we have to fight with others to login and attempt the quizzes....and its part of our assessments....wondering if the course coordinator's receiving any commission that's why she wanted us to do the quizzes!!!!!the previous semesters don't have such things......hopefully she'll give up the idea of wanting us to do the perdisco quizzes and just let us do the CML quizzes.....ECON1310 students should all unite and COMPLAIN!!!!!haha

My Lappy's ALIVE again!!!!

after 5 days of "suffering",my lappy's alive n kicking again.......haha.....was so scared that i couldn't reformat it......good thing its my hard disk that has gone crazy.......changed my internal hdd and reinstall everything....now its functioning normally again....its also a good thing that i managed to retrieve stuffs from my old hdd......

i'm still trying to make an appointment for my placement interview...the GM's super busy as he's planning for an event....hopefully i can get it set up by tomorrow and be able to secure this placement.....internet's up as well.....i'm finally contactable online again....don't have to stay in uni to use computer again...haha....

oh well, as the title goes, my lappy died on me......can't go into windows....which means i can't run my com.....oh well......at least its only 3rd week now.....my 1st assignment is due in week 6.......but still.......really scared that i can't reformat it......if that's the case i'll need to buy a new lappy........not that i don't want a new laptop, but its just too expensive to get one here......and i've not decided on which brand and which model to purchase.....after all i still LOVE my fujitsu lappy......its been with me for almost 4 years.....don't really wanna replace it.......my bro will be visiting this week....hopefull he can "save" my lappy.....

today's the 1st day of cny.......so sad.....had to spend it without my family members....well...at least i have my housemate to celebrate with me......had fried rice for "reunion dinner" yesterday.....kinda sad right???think tonight we gonna have a more elaborate meal.......think i shall just stop here....if not i'll make this post even sadder......

House Moving - Day 2 & 3

for some reason i cant seem to upload a post on sat........have been moving my stuffs since friday......i moved most of my stuffs on sat.......was still thinking if i should move into my new unit on sun or not.....good thing my new housemate came in, and i decided to move in......thanks to her,i managed to move everything to the new unit an am pretty much settled down there......

however, i won't be able to come online every night anymore as i have no phoneline connection at my new unit......so i'll be uncontactable online at nights till i get internet access......if u do see me online at night....this means that i'm doing crazt stuffs.....i.e. coming to uni at night to use net...haha.....

i'll still be online during the day though....=>

Moving House - Day 1

as the title implies, i've started moving stuffs to my new unit today.....thought i moved quite alot of stuffs....but after packing them nicely, my new room looks very empty......prob cos the cupboard is very small, so i had to keep all the big things elsewhere.

i've shifted my winter clothes, donna, doona cover, pillows, fleece blankets, 2 printers, rice cooker, toiletries, instant food, shelf etc....don't seem alot..but it took me quite a while to move them....thank God for sending someone to help me move my stuffs......forgot to ask for his name though.....but he's my new neighbour, n we met a few times in uni,so i guess there'll be plenty of time for self-introduction....got some "presents" though...haha
realised i got a few blue-blacks, scratches, sore arms, legs and back, and rashes!!!!up till now i still dunno what's e main cause for my rashes.....it was quite bad last yr, its pretty much under control now.......realised my rashes will appear when i'm doing assignment or studying for exam, when the weather is hot and think when there's dust.....guess i just have to take medicine when they appear..

some thoughts came to my mind while i was moving stuffs.....i always thought i was strong, can carry the heavy stuffs by myself....but i guess i was wrong......i felt kinda helpless today......twice the guy had came to my rescue.....e stuffs which i thought i needed 2 trips to move, he managed to carry everything with just 1 trip.....maybe i should just learn to ask for help when i really needed it...n not be so 不自量力......

i'll continue to move my stuffs tomorrow...it'll be tougher as the guy will be going to goldcoast tomorrow....think i really have to take my time to move my stuffs....will continue to update my progress everyday....

Summer semester's over

today marks the end of my summer semester.....cant believe it ended so quickly........my hols start again.....so sad....this is the first time i will celebrate cny alone........

now that my exam is over....i need to start packing and move all my stuffs into another unit.....haiz...wondering how am i going to move all the stuffs by myself.....hopefully there'll be some kind souls to help me.....

gonna miss out on all e cny goodies......hopefully i'll still get angpaos........wonder if its possible to bring in pineapple tarts.....i seriouslly want to eat the ling's homemade pineapple tarts....its super delicious....

January's definitely not the time to visit Brisbane.....its super HOT!!!!!I always thought I can survive the summer....but I was wrong.......its worse than sg's summer.....my room feels like an oven....the fan doesnt seem to be working....hmmmmm......i sorta regretted coming back for summer coourses....really feel like going back to sg for cny......any sponsors?????haha

good thing that i'm almost done with my summer courses....i'm left with 1 final assignment & 1 exam....everything will be over by 8th feb........then i'll have about 2+ wks of hols before i start my final semester....hopefully i can survive throughout the summer....

its been a week since I return to Australia........am staying in Brisbane temporary as I'm having lessons in the St Lucia campus.......technically, I'm done with 1 subj.....but I've yet to submit the assignments.....oh well.....didn't know Michelle's such a tough examiner....hopefully I'll survive.......I'll be doing another subject next week....think I'll be done with my summer semester by 10th feb.....

been trying to survive with limited internet access......hopefully it'll not affect me much when I do my assignments.......hmmmmm....i guess that's it......can't think of anymore things to write....

its been 1 month plus since I last updated my blog....some of my friends have been urging my to update my blog......I guess I'm really into my holiday mode......such that I don't even want to update my blog......

I've been back for slightly more than 5 weeks......time past so quickly......many meaningful events happened during this period of time. I visited Vivo City on my 2nd day of arrival & ate the famous katong laksa....then helped out with chinese side DVBS on wednesday.....I went to a concert with LQ, Mary & Limei....but cant really remember when was that....

I attended my church camp during the first week of december......the messages were good,the fellowship was great but the food & accommodation were disappointing.....nothing in this world is perfect....at least we managed to "take in" good sprirtual food.......

I was out almost everyday after coming back from malaysia.....been visiting the airport at least 4 - 5 times......then busy with church stuffs.

we had Christmas service in the morning.....was at Life BP Church at 830am for warm up & final choir practice....the service started at 930am. After the service, we had lunch with the koo family....this seems to be a yearly routine......in the past, we always have a Christmas gathering....think my brother has the intention to open my place for gathering......however,my mum's complaining that my house's super dirty.....in the end there's no Christmas gathering.....we end up having a family gathing at my aunt's place (my family,the koos, auntie foong peng & family)....rev koo brought the turkey over as it was too big for his family (or I shld say it's cos of the turkey that we decided to hv a family gathering)......

my holidays' ending real soon......so sad........I'll be leaving sg on 5th Jan......in less than 2 wks time.......haiz.......quite a few asked me if I'll be coming back in July after my graduation......at this point in time,I'm really not sure about my future plans.....I would like to continue with my sutdies....however that has to depend on my family's financial status.....for some reason,I feel like staying in Australia for a longer period of time.....not sure why I suddenly feel this way as 1 yr ago,I was so positive that I would come back immediately after my graduation......well,I guess God has His plans for me......will let Him lead the way....

a very big thank you to those who have given me Christmas presents....so sorry that I din give anyone presents as I'm super broke......will give presents when I start working.....

I'm HOME!!!!!finally......

took the 18th flight home from Brisbane......I had to wake up at 430am to get ready as the airport express is scheduled to arrive at 615am.....the journey to the airport wasn't exactly smooth......the road's kinda bumpy.....finally arrived at the airport at about 720am.......met up with lawrence to check in our luggages.....after checking in,we went for breakfast.......saw the xmss's band at airport...perhaps they had a performance somewhere in brissy....

the journey back to sg was boring....i can't be bothered to even watch the movies....end up listening to my mini.......for some weird reason,I was suffering from plane sickness.....this seldom happen to me....maybe its because of the breakfast.....lawrence was so afraid that I'd vomit....haha....I only managed to eat half the portion of my food....didn't even take the second meal as I don't really want to end up puking.......

though the plane was full......there's hardly any people at the customs.....we managed to cross the customs and collect our luggages within 20minutes......

on Sunday,I left for church service at 930am......end up being the pianist.....played quite badly even though I had practised for a couple of hours on saturday......after service, went to practise for yf's song item.......after that,we went to katong to eat the famous laksa.......then headed to vivo city.....didn't had a good experience there as it was too crowded......

I went back to church at about 545pm as my mum was there.....I continued to play on the piano for another hour.......headed home at about 730pm....I really missed my piano.......been playing alot since I got home on saturday....how I wish I have a piano at australia........

Exam's over!!!!

Exam's finally over....well....it was over on 6th November......just that I took a long time to put up this post......I was happy that my exam finished so quickly......but its kinda weird....cos all of my friends are still having exams & I'm the only one who's exam free now.......oh well.....I suffered throughout the whole semester...so I guess its ok for me to finish my exam so early......

I was basically rotting on tuesday.......didn't know what to do.......and my internet got shaped again.....so its kinda frustrating to come online these days.....went out with Jade, Aby & Taro to Indro on Wednesday to meet up with Mel, Jeannette & Esther...We only managed to shop for about 1 hour cos its near closing hours.....but we all managed to get what we want....We also had a great time at the pet shop....for some reason the puppies there started dancing...there're at least 6 puppies dancing.....all the onlookers were amazed.....Jade even took pictures (or is it video) of them....

we left Indro at about 6pm and had dinner at "7-8".......its a nice & cosy eating place....the food's super delicious......I hope to go there again before I go back to Singapore....

after at least 2 months, I've finally started to play sports again......I used to play soccer with the guys twice a week.....but I got too busy with my assignments & didn't join them.........it all started when Taro was looking at tennis racquets at Indro and asking whether he should invest in 1.......then we decided to play tennis on thursday......we managed to book the court from 230 - 430.......but it started raining at 315pm....we had no choice but to stop playing......its a good thing that we managed to get a refund.......the rain stopped at about 4pm and we started playing again....this time round we just hit the ball against the wall....didn't really want to book the court again....

the guys got home at about 515pm (from their exam) and we had a short soccer game.....it was pretty fun.....I feel that my reflexes become slower after stopping for so long......think I really need to exercise regularly.......we had dinner at Jun's before sending SJ off at the airport......after that, we had coffee at Milton and finally reached home at about 130am........

today, we played tennis at uni again......went up to uni at about 345pm today....realised UQ Sport's closed on fridays........this means we can't book the court........so sad.......we approached the security guard, hoping that he can open the gate.....but he said he can't do that......we had no choice but to hit against the wall again........an UQ staff saw us playing and asked why didn't we play on the tennis court....so we told her our situation and guess what???she actually went to look for the security guard and asked him to open the gate for us.......woohoo......we managed to use the court for free.......really thankful to that UQ staff.....she's so nice!!!!!!!!!!

we had a great time of workout......looking forward to play tennis soon........wow...didn't realise its such a long post....think I'll stop soon......I'll be going down to Goldcoast tomorrow......looking forward to eat at Yamasakura......

8 more days till I reach home......can't wait anymore!!!!!

I seriously don't know what my lecturers are thinking......don't know why they like to finish marking our assignments in such a short time.....I just submitted my EVNT3002 assignment on last friday and today she released the marks on Blackboard.......my lecturers seriously have no life siah......spent the whole weekend marking our assignments........

EVNT3002 - a course which I'm afraid of......though its not as difficult as MGTS3301, but the lecturer is a tough marker......out of the 3 assignments.....2 of them have class averages of less than 65%.....its not like we don't put in effort.....we just don't know what she wants......she doesn't teach much in class (we had presentations every week or excursions).......she doesn't tell us much about the assignments......she gave us report templates which she doesn't mark accordingly to it.......

Jaslyn and I were super demoralised when we saw the results for our bid presentation & document.......we followed accordingly to her guideline....but on her marking sheet, she said we could leave out certain information.......we had a few goods here and there....but our marks don't reflect them.......

was so nervous when I checked our results on blackboard......cos we don't want just a passing grade.....we wanted higher.......when I saw our marks.....I was really relieved.......we've gotten 35/50 (though that's not what we usually get for other courses).....but its not too bad, considering its sort of a last minute job + being marked by megan.......not sure if we've been penalised for submitting late.....but at least we've gotten a credit for this course..........

I really had to thank Jaslyn for finding all the relevant information despite her tight schedule......and also tahaning all my shit...haha.....hopefully we'll get a chance to work together again next sem.....hang in there for your biz law lah......

realised I've not been blogging for more than a week.....maybe its time for me to write a super long post......

Last week was super hectic for me....had been rushing through 2 of my events assignments........though they're both group work, but I really wanted good grades......so I had to work extra hard.....

EVNT3000.....i spent the most time on this assignment.....its a 5000-6000 word event management plan......and that's excluding appendices........in the end...my report adds up to about 120 pages.......

EVNT3002.....its a 3000 word comparative report.......we had so much information.......its a good thing the lecturer's not so concern with the word count......so once again....the report's about 65 pages long.........

I had to stay up a few nights just to get these 2 assignments done........n I can't believe I submitted them late because the printing took so long.........I thought 45minutes would be enough........in the end I spent 1hr40mins printing them........hopefully my lecturers would not penalise us on that..........

just last thursday, I've receive 2 good news........something that I've not expected.......firstly, I received the offer to do the placement subject next semester.......I've heard that they're raising the standards this year and I've not received any email from the uni.....so I thought I've missed it completely (cos my last sem's result was terrible, and it pulled down my avg GPA).......really had to thank the Lord for this.......

another good news.....I PASSED MY BUSINESS POLICY REPORT!!!!!!some might think "what the big fuss?you should be expected to pass all your assignments and exams....."this course is super difficult......I've friends who did it last year and all of them just managed to pass the report (and all of them are average 6 students)........I was so afraid that I couldn't make it......I didn't think that my report was good enough.....but once again, it's by God's grace that I've managed to pass....in fact, He had given me a credit.....which is more thatn what I've asked for......

over the weekend, I had to write another 2500 word report......the stupid part about this is we need to choose a tourism-related organisation......write about the problem it faced, identify the causes of this problem and provide alternatives that may have prevented the problem/improve the problem.......we're not given any guidelines on the format of the report......but we're told to write in proper report format.........I had so many things to do.......yet I only have less than 2 days to finish this report..........not good....

initially i wanted to write on China Airlines.......but I couldn't find information about it.......once again, God has been really good to me.......on friday evening, Vanessa shouted for me at my window and asked if I wanted to go up to uni on saturday to do my work.......I accepted her offer and we meet up at 1130........then we (together with 3 other guys) decided to go to chinatown for lunch first before we go back to uni.......I was still having problems trying to get articles related to China Airlines.....seeing that I was in trouble, Vanessa asked about my assignment (like what exactly I had to write)......it turned out that she used to work in the travel industry and was a former employee of United Airlines..........she suggested that I should choose a western company as they will disclose more information to the public.....she also told me about her experience at UA......about the benefits they received and how they treated the customers etc.........she even helped me with my research and prepared lunch for me on sunday.......God knows my problems and He knows what's best for me........He knows that I'll be desparate for help.....and He sent the most suitable person to help me.

in the end, I managed to finish the report....but once again, I've submitted it late.....not the printer's fault.....but cos I couldnt finish on time.....this is something I've anticipated......and I've talked to my tutor about it before......He's been kind enough to say he'll not penalise me if I submit 1 or 2 hours late.....however.....I didn't finish writing till about 2pm......which is 4hours past the submission time......hopefully I can still get good grades even with the penalty (unless my tutor decided to waive the penalty....which i doubt so)....I'll leave my assignments to God's hand, trusting He'll have the best for me.......

Finally, I'm free from assignments.......and I've finished 4 out of 5 subjects........next monday will be my final paper......after that I'll be free!!!!!!!!!this is a super busy sem for me.......but the Lord has always been there for me, lead and guide me through all the difficult times.....

this post is really long.......think I shall just stop here.......haha.....

My TOUR3002 Lecturer is CRAZY!!!!!

Lisa is CRAZY!!!!!or I should say she simply awesome!!!!!We just submitted our 3rd assignment last thursday and she told the class that she has finished marking them all.........can you believe it??????I wrote at least 7000words for this assignment........I'm sure the rest of the class wrote at least 5000 words.....and there're at least 50 students doing this course.......don't know how she managed to mark so fast.......

the sad thing is that she can't post out our marks yet......but she said the class average was very high......the BEL faclty simply don't believe this..........well....hopefully I can get a 7 for this course.......

think I'm really stressed up now....been drinking 2 cups of coffee for the past few days......I'll only do this when I'm super stressed......this is the last week of the semester....and I still have 3 more assignments to submit........they're driving me crazy.........this is really the first time I feel that I cannot finish my assignments on time........I was up at uni till 5am this morning doing my events management plan.........right now I'm still trying my best to finish as much as I can and send it to my group mates so that I can concentrate on my comparative report........and I still have 1 more tourism policy assignment that's untouched..........hopefully I can really finish them on time.........

tried to upload this post in the evening but couldn't......anyway, I've managed to finish my assignment that's due on later at 4pm. the 5000 word essay turn out to be a 8000 one......that excludes appendices and references.....thankfully that my lecturer's not bothered by the word count, so I don't really have to cut it down....hopefully I've managed to cover the required points......don't really feel like proof reading my assignment.......its too LOOOOOOOOOONG!!!!!!

oh well.....its 3.22 am and I'm still in uni with 2 other friends........still got to write up something for my group meeting tomorrow..........and I've 3 more assignments untouched........not a good sign.........hopefully I can finish them on time........

After negotiating with our tutor, we finally got extension for TOUR3001's final assignment!!!!!Thanks Kom!!!!!!

This extension really allows me to relieve some stress......at least now I only have 2 assignments to submit by 27th @ 4pm. This is truly a hectic semester......overloaded with assignments.......its a good thing that I only have 1 final exam.......working on my 11th assignment now........hope to finish by tomorrow...........

As the title goes, this semester is ending soon........real soon!!!!!!I'm left with 2 more weeks of lessons......4 more major assignments to submit....then it'll be exams.......to be honest, I'm not really looking forward to the end of semester......I've too many assignments to submit........one 50% assignment due this thursday, one 50% & two 55% assignments due on 27 oct......really hope that the lecturers will give us extension........

my semester will end on 6th November 2006 @ 1.30pm.....then I'll be free!!!!!after that I still have to pack my stuffs......move them to another unit........haiz......all the hassles.........oh well, at least I've something to look forward to........hopefully I can go back by 17 night..........as for now, its assignment time again........

雙十節對我而言並沒太大的影響,就像普通的國定假日(我還算是台灣人嗎????). 可能是因為我從小在新加坡長大的關係,從未真正體驗過台灣的國慶慶典吧.希望有一天我能親身去體驗!!!!!

感覺我的中文退步了,寫了十五分鐘才寫幾行字,真是要命!!!!看來我得開始用中文來寫"部落格"了.............

真不曉得為甚麼用英文就能寫這麼快而用中文卻這麼慢??????????

Finished another assignment today!!!!!its a group presentation on Woolies...........e amount of research we have to do.....the amount of stuffs we had on the powerpoint slides.........n the amount of time we're allocated...........its DEFINITELY worth more than 10 marks!!!!!!don't know what the course coordinator's thinking.............first he arranged the presentation to be on the same week as the report submission.......then he decides that a 40-minute presentation that requires us to find out about the businesses n core competencies, draw up a timeline on the company's expansion, integrate theories to explain if their expansion's logical n getting the class to participate in a 10-minute discussion is only worth 10 MARKS!!!!!!!

oh well......its all over.......all i can say is we did a pretty good job on it....am really thankful to my groupmates that i don't have to present much!!!!!!5 more assignments to go n I'll only be left with 1 exam!!!!!!!hopefully i can go back to sg real early this year........hopefully I won't screw up on my MIL report...........

If anyone has to do a year 3 subject as elective, NEVER CHOOSE MGTS3301 - Business Policy & Strategy!!!!!!if you die die have to do it, my advise is do it during summer!!!!!

just some update.....yesterday's excursion to Roma Street Parklands was boring.........we went round the whole parkland on a train.........can't believe they charge A$6 per adult for the 15 minutes ride (good thing ours were subsidised by the uni).........after the train ride......we had to sit through a boring presentation..........I still enjoyed the excusion to QPAC the most!!!!!!!!!!

finally finished with my 8th assignment!!!!no need to think about Magnesium Int'l Ltd anymore!!!!!!managed to finish it at 1230 today........was super stress about it........can't sleep well......and for some weird reason I've been having rashes for the past few nights.....can't be I'm so stress that I started developing rashes ba????

oh well, one more assignment down......1 more group presentation this thursday, will meet up with our tutor tomorrow to make sure we're on the right track........

tomorrow is excursion day!!!!we'll be visiting Roma Street Parklands.......some people may be wondering....how come uni students also have excursions.........there's only 1 reason behind it........ASSIGNMENT!!!!we're suppose to write a comparative report on 2 of the venues we've visited. the first excursion was boring........all we did was to walk around Suncorp Stadium......had an enjoyable time when we visit QPAC......we got a chance to stand on the stage, crowd around the Steinway Grand Pianos, visit the backstage and guess what......we actually got up to where the Pipe Organ is.......its definitely an unique experience!!!!!hopefully we'll have a great time tomorrow!!!!!!

Draft Exam timetable is finally out!!!!

Not that I'm looking forward for my exam......I've been waiting and waiting........finally its out now.......everyone's asking when I'll be going back to sg, but I can't give a confirm answer as I don't know when my exam will be......I'll only have 1 exam this semester, on 06.11.2006 @ 11.15am. After that I'm free!!!!!!!Well, as stated, this is only the draft timetable, hopefully there won't be any changes.......

I'm still in the process of writing my assignment.......not progressing very well.......but it has to be submitted by 4pm tomorrow no matter what. after this written assignment, I still have a presentation on thursday......and I've yet to write out my speech. My whole semester is filled with assignments!!!!!!hopefully this semester will end soon.......

Today's the first day of school after mid-sem break and I'm supposed to be in class now!!!!!had to skip it so that I can finish my assignment on time.......very poor time management skill!!!!!!!I must really learn to manage my time well!!!!

Time to get back to work again.........hopefully I'll be able to post some interesting stuff after submitting my assignment.

"I've started my 1st blog!!!!!!"....don't know what has gotten into me.....supposed to be doing my assignment that'll be due on 03.10.2006 (tuesday) at 4pm and I've spent the past 15 mins creating this blog.......oh well...guess I'm too bored to write my assignment......the structure of this assignment is too abstract...don't know what the lecturer wants siah......

Last count: 7 out of 14 assignments completed.......half more to go.......

What is mid-sem break when we still have to write assignments???2 more days and school gonna start........which means 4 more weeks of lessons before final exam.........can't wait to go back........I miss my piano, my flute and everyone.......craving for home cook food too!!!!!!n looking forward to the end of yr camp!!!!!!
